About CommonPlace
We exist to resource the under-resourced. CommonPlace is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that resources local leaders to lead in their own context to the benefit of their community’s needs.
We provide impact-driven resources, leadership retreats, workshops and a CommonPlace community to support leaders of all kinds and sizes. Any profit accrued from these resources go to our nonprofit partners and the causes they champion so well.
CommonPlace partners with individuals, nonprofits, and churches to provide discipleship resources that give back to the communities they are a part of.
Our partnerships happen in two ways:
Personal connections with those who recommend our resources to their friends and colleagues.
Retreats and workshops that connect leaders to one another and spark new and bold initiatives within them.

OUR NONPROFIT PARTNERS
At some point in our lives, we should all ask ourselves, "What is my role in the story God is telling?" Megan Johnson’s answer to this question led her to found CommonPlace.
What was once scribbled in a journal as an idea of how to create a philanthropic way to publish resources, she put into practice at her local church. It was there that she led her women’s ministry and began writing and teaching resources that benefited the local community. "It was an incredible experience to see how my background in publishing and journalism began to take on a kingdom shape.
"I was so energized by teaching the gospel and giving back to others, that the vision began to grow beyond a concept into a mission." During that time, Megan developed her own resources and put together a resource team and invested in the writing, teaching, and pastoral gifts of others. One of those resources that Megan’s team created has over 40,000 views. The joy Megan has in developing resources herself is only matched by developing leaders to lead in their own context too.
Megan has been in ministry for a decade and is the Pastor of Culture and Community at her local church. She has an A.S.C in Theology and is currently pursuing a MABL from Western Seminary. "I want to take my natural gifts, the knowledge I am accruing, and my passions and invest in other local leaders so they can be equipped to facilitate spiritual formation in those they lead to the benefit of others."
